The sea to Sky offers such incredible beauty, so i strive to bring the landscape into your session by choosing an outdoor location. Accessibility will always play a part to ensure our session has easy access for everyone.
Should the weather be fickle, we may be able to reschedule, or consider a more forested area that can provide us with tree coverage.
One of the best parts about being on the west coast is mother nature’s wild spirit, so let’s roll with it!

Be Yourselves
My number one suggestion if you are looking for guidance when it comes to clothing is choosing a colour palette that includes 5-6 colours and dressing within that spectrum.
This will create a cohesiveness within your group without being too matchy, matchy.
Avoid bright neon colours, baseball hats, or anything with large logos on it. We want to highlight you best and these elements can sometimes take away from the main focus, You!
prep
bring the goods
documenting little ones? I highly suggest coming prepared with some bribery.
Yes, I said Bribery.
it never hurts to have snacks and maybe a true treat to bribe the kiddos during the photo session.
Sometimes, kids are just simply not in the mood to be photographed and if we can sweeten the deal, it may help encourage those smiles we know and love.

Darby is definitely a skilled family photographer, among other subject types. Her Instagram does a great job of highlighting her skill and unique ability to capture brief moments of sweetness between all the crazy!
Our toddler was SCREAMING. Screaming. SCREAMING. The entire time she was doing our family photoshoot. I mean, next level not having it behavior. Darby was still able to capture some quality photos of our family despite the madness! We look forward to hiring her again on our annual trips to Whistler!
