Not quite an elopement, but this Whistler wedding tucked away in the forest sure was intimate. Surrounded by their close family and friends, P&E said their vows among ancient cedars and dappling light. Nicole from Pop Up Weddings curated a simple and rustic setting that complimented Whistler’s natural beauty so well. After Jeremy (Whistler Wedding Pastor) helped make it official, they had a cutting of the cake and champagne toast to begin the celebration. It truly was romantic and very personal.
After the champagne was finished, we photographed some family portraits and enjoyed the amazing weather. All of the guests carried on to the lodge they had rented to begin cocktail hour and I took the bride and groom for some portraits. Even though we were in the heart of the village, there was seemingly no one around. It was so peaceful and quiet. I love pulling back and capturing the couple just enjoying themselves, hugging and laughing with one another. It’s easy to be incognito when you are surrounded by trees. Whistler offers so many nooks and crannies that are raw and private, it’s the perfect location to elope or host a intimate wedding!
