Eloping in the Sea to Sky
Imagine standing at the base of the Chief, surrounded by stunning mountains and a flowing river. The perfect setting for an intimate elopement in Squamish, BC. Inspired by the mountains, M+C wanted to incorporate as much of nature as possible into their celebration. From the moment they had their first look, to their first dance, the Squamish landscape complimented each moment beautifully.
This Squamish Elopement was curated by myself and the talented Natacha Trottier. Natacha offers both hair and Makeup Services along with officiating in both english and french. She has incredible knowledge of the sea to sky and brings a calm energy to every celebration. We worked together to curate the timeline and decided on the ceremony locations for both a plan A and Plan B option. It never hurts to have options, just in case.
When planning your elopement in Squamish consider your surroundings and how you want to feel. you can tuck away in the forest, explore open mountain views, or spend a little time near a lake or river. The outdoor options are endless! Keep in mind that during the summer months the Sea to Sky and Squamish areas get an influx of tourism, even midweek. so if you are wanting something more private consider an off-season month such as October-May or perhaps investing in a private tour with Black Tusk Helicopters or Sea to Sky Air. No matter what you decide, hire vendors you trust so they can help you plan accordingly. We may not offer full planning services, but we are more than happy to provide referrals, tips, and suggestions along the way.
Feel free to connect if you are thinking about eloping! As a Squamish Elopement photographer, I can confidently say that this is one of the most beautiful places to say your i-do’s. Here are some highlights from M+C’s Mountainside Elopement in Squamish for some inspiration.
