Last weekend I had the opportunity to document a Whistler family photography session around the stunning Lost Lake. Getting the chance to photograph a local family was also a treat as Lost Lake held a special place in their hearts.
When coordinating family photography sessions in Whistler I often tell my clients that it’s important to incorporate a bit of a walk. The walk allows us to have some movement during the session as well as provide various backdrops. My family sessions come in mini and 1 hour sessions that provides you with either a simple or more in depth session. Sometimes with the kiddos, a full hour can be a bit much so that is why I created the 30 minute mini-session which can be plenty of time to photograph some beautiful moments!
Whistler offers a variety of parks with mountain and lake views. I can offer you guidance on what to wear and what location will suit your family best. It’s also a good idea to discuss timing for light as well as being flexible to mid-week opportunities. The weekends during the summer in Whistler can get very packed at the parks and beaches so scheduling an early morning session may be best suited! Lots to explore here, as the beauty is endless!
